The First (Muladhara) Chakra and Kundalini Yoga-007

Sat Nam and welcome to Episode 7 of the Heart Centered Revolution podcast!

This episode is a follow-up from episode 6, and is about the first- or Muladhara- chakra. If you are unfamiliar with chakras, Click Here to listen to Episode 6 for a review of the chakras in general, and then come back to this episode.

In this episode we do a deep dive into the first chakra by covering:

  • What an overactive first chakra looks like versus a weak first chakra,
  • How to balance the first chakra
  • Common pitfalls that people who are on a spiritual joinery experience as related to the first chakra.

At the end of the podcast, Jen leads the listener through a breathing practice that includes the Root Lock, or Mulbandh, often practiced in Kundalini Yoga.  This is the lock that teachers are describing when they tell you to pull up on your pelvic floor after an exercise.
